What Could Not Be Erased: Ledger Art - Opening Reception

All are invited to the opening reception of What Could Not Be Erased: Ledger Art, a solo exhibition featuring the work of acclaimed Oglala Lakota artist, Joe Pulliam.

Opening reception: Friday, July 24, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Appetizers will be served by Gatherings Cafe.

Born and raised on the Pine Ridge Reservation, Joe Pulliam carries forward a powerful tradition of Lakota storytelling through ledger art. His work is rooted in the resistance, survival, and cultural continuity that have shaped Lakota people for generations. Through vibrant drawings on historic and contemporary documents, Pulliam transforms records once tied to colonial control into powerful expressions of Indigenous memory, identity, and sovereignty.

Admission is free and open to the public.
