Telling the Story

The Minneapolis American Indian Center reached a historic milestone with the completion of an expanded and renovated facility in 2024. Expanding on this work, the organization is poised to engage the broader public and increase awareness about our Native community who have utilized the center since it began in the 1970s. The Telling the Story project will involve research and elder interviews with relevant community members, leaders, and stakeholders to explore contemporary local Indigenous histories and connect people through their experiences. This initiative will also focus on developing inclusive ways to engage the public in meaningful dialogue and develop an implementation strategy for an interpretation plan.

To follow along with the project, please follow Two Rivers Gallery on Facebook and Instagram, and sign up for the newsletter.
