Classroom Training, is conducted in a professional setting to provide clients with the technical skills and information to perform a specific job. Training may also include enhancement of skills through basic upgrading such as remedial education and General Education Diploma (GED). Some students are eligible for a needs-based allowance while in training.

Work Experience, is a short-term or part-time work assignment with an employment agency or an organization authorized to employ CSE participants. It is otherwise prohibited in the private for-profit sector. Limited slots are available.

On-The-Job Training (OJT), is conducted in a work environment designed to train individuals to upgrade specific skills, i.e., persons with education but lack work history, or persons considered for upgrading to a higher responsibility. The participant must be hired by an employer before being eligible. JTPA shares the cost for teaching individuals on the job by reimbursing the employer up to 50% of the starting wage. Duration of training may last from 4 to 26 weeks, depending upon the skill complexity of the occupation. Limited slots are available.
